Police ID victim of fatal motorcycle crash

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Portsmouth police have identified the man who died Saturday following a motorcycle crash in Portsmouth.

On Saturday, March 30, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Portsmouth police responded to the Boyds Lane onramp to Route 24 North for a serious motorcycle accident.

A 25-year-old Massachusetts man was seriously injured in the crash. The victim was later identified by police as Jagger Gibeault, 25, of East Freetown, Mass.

According to police, the Massachusetts man was the only person involved in the accident.

The Portsmouth Fire Department transported the man to Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River Massachusetts, where he was pronounced dead.

The Portsmouth Police Accident Recon and Detectives were on scene and are currently investigating this accident. The identity of the man has not been released.
