PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Sydney, an Australia-inspired café located in Downtown Providence, will open two new locations, including one in Portsmouth this November.
“We are excited to introduce Sydney to the Cranston and Portsmouth communities as we begin to expand our business,” remarked Jordan N. Boslego, Managing Member. “Sydney is where Australian inspiration meets local ingredients and a passion for quality, and we can’t wait to begin serving our new neighbors.”
Both new cafés in Portsmouth and Cranston will offer a menu and experience consistent with the Providence store.
Sydney Portsmouth will be a freestanding building in the style of an Australian country home. Portsmouth Press reached out to Sydney to ask about the exact new location, but a company representative stated he could not reveal the address at this time.
“We can’t disclose the exact address for a couple of weeks because there is an existing business operating there, which will be closing,” wrote Jordan N. Boslego of Sydney. “However, in the meantime, I can tell you that we are going into a freestanding building on West Main Road.”
The new spaces will continue Sydney’s coastal-modern aesthetic of white marble, wide plank hardwood flooring, and designer furniture. Both will feature large communal tables and ample outdoor seating.
Planned menu additions include made-to-order smoothie bowls, plant-based noodles, and new grab-and-go and pastry selections, including additional vegan and gluten-free bakery items.
The enhanced footprint will allow Sydney’s catering business, geared at both private celebrations and corporate events, to serve a much larger area. Sydney’s catering menu features breakfast, lunch, beverages, and premium baked goods. The expansion will also enable the roll-out of improved service options, including mobile ordering.
Sydney’s Providence location at 400 Exchange Street is open daily from 7 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday, and 8 am to 5 pm on weekends. For more information, visit sydneypvd.com.
