Special announcement from The Groovy Gator
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of our Portsmouth store located at Clock Tower Square in Portsmouth. Rumors have been flowing, but at this time we do confirm that we will close Portsmouth in January.
First & most importantly, we would like to thank our customers for all of your support. Our time in Portsmouth has been wonderful. We just aren’t doing enough business to maintain this location.
We also want to thank our neighbors at Clock Tower for being the best neighbors we could possibly hope for. It truly has been a family feel among the businesses there.
Our Newport store, located on Lower Thames Street, is staying put, remaining open, and thriving. We are acutely aware that our moving around over the years is frustrating to those who follow us. We are committed to this location and are looking forward to being a part of the continued development and growth of this part of Thames Street.
The Portsmouth store will be holding a ginormous post-holiday sale as we seek to liquidate excess inventory and make the move easier.
Starting Friday December 29 and running til Monday January 15th you will find incredible deals and one of a kind treats. There will be racks of $5, $10, & $20.
We hope you will all come say hello & help us move out. Even if it’s just a couple of items at a time.
