CFPIA holds Lap of Love for fire victims

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. —  The Common Fence Point Improvement Association (CFPIA) held a Lap of Love walk Sunday to support and raise funds for victims of the fire on Feb. 7. 

On Feb. 7, an early morning fire on Narragansett Boulevard damaged three homes before being extinguished by Portsmouth and neighboring fire departments. 
 
The body of Richard Kanauss, a 30-year resident of Common Fence Point, was later found by investigators. 
 
The walk on Sunday honored Kanauss and raised funds for other victims of the fire.

Donations for the fire victims will be collected through Feb. 23. Mail to CFP, 933 Anthony Rd., Portsmouth, RI 02871. Gift cards  or checks to CFPIA. A separate accounting will be made by the treasurer.
