PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Common Fence Point Community will hold a couple events this weekend to benefit victims of the fire, which damaged three homes on Feb. 7. The remains of a body were also found after the fire.
On Friday, a cabaret will be held at the Common Fence Community Hall with proceeds benefiting the fire victims.
A “Lap of Love” will be held on Sunday around the neighborhood.
“This weekend we will do a Lap Of Love to show support for everyone impacted by the fires,” writes CFPIA President Conley Zani. “Rain or shine, please join us at the Hall at 1pm, Sunday February 18th. We’ll walk the CFP Halloween ‘parade route’ and then reconvene at the Hall for refreshments and fellowship.
Residents are also welcome to lay flowers and wreaths at the sign at the top of the neighborhood, starting on Wednesday.
“We live in a magnificent, unique, and very special community. We are always stronger together,” writes Zani.
