DUI charges top police reports, Dec. 21-22

After searching through the remains of a fire that damaged three homes early Wednesday, officials discovered one set of human remains.

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Driving under the influence (DUI) charges topped Portsmouth police reports from Dec. 21 to 22. Featured below are the reports provided by the Portsmouth Police Department. 

  • Katherine Moniz Mairs, 49, of 158 King Charles Drive, Portsmouth, was arrested on Dec. 21 at the corner of West Main Road and King Charles Drive. Mairs was charged with DUI, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

  • Scott Edward Robbins, 43, of 17 Weatherly Ave., Newport, was arrested on Dec. 21 at the intersection of West Main Road and Prescott Point. Robbins was charged with DUI, first offense, Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 0.1 to 0.15. The legal BAC in Rhode Island is 0.08.

  • Kyle George Willhite, 29, of 94 St. Paul St., North Smithfield, was arrested on a warrant on charges of failing to notify for a change of address on the sex offender registry.
