Newport Polo grounds
The Newport Polo Club will host the annual 27th annual charity match to benefit the Newport Rotary Club and local 501-c-3 organizations to kick-off the summer season on Saturday, May 27 at 5pm. Tickets are sold at the entry gates by the Newport Rotary Club; advanced ticket sales are available from the participating organizations below. Gates open at 4pm. 100% of proceeds from ticket & bar sales will support the participating civic & charitable organizations.
The 6-chukker match will feature local players facing off on the International Polo Field at Glen Farm, 250 Linden Lane, in Portsmouth. Enjoy an exciting afternoon with open tailgating, lawn & grandstand seating, and seating within the ALEX AND ANI Pavilion.

Newport Rotary Club: “Service above self.” The Newport Rotary Club members are local business and professional leaders who take an active role in the community. Annual contributions include scholarships for local students, support for the Boys & Girls Club of Newport County, Newport Public Library, Martin Luther King Center, and more. 100% of ticket & bar sales at the polo field on game day will support the Rotary Club’s scholarship & charitable programs.
Brown Polo: Brown Polo Club is a co-ed club sport at Brown University with Men’s and Women’s teams. As a member of the United States Polo Association’s Intercollegiate division, Brown Polo competes against other Northeast university polo teams. The Club’s practices and facilities are provided by Newport Polo under the expert coaching and guidance of Dan and Agnes Keating. Each year, new players take up the sport as freshman, and move up the ranks, filling the positions of outgoing seniors. In addition to training, members participate in recruitment and fundraising efforts to support and sustain the Club.
Through its 26 year history, Newport Polo has raised over $1,285,500 for local civic and non-profit organizations. Continued initiatives include the annual Rotary Benefit Match, the International Polo Charity Ball, the inaugural All Charity Day on Sunday, July 16th, and numerous donations to local organizations for their fundraising efforts.
