PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — If you watched Food Network’s 2017 Spring Baking Championship, you probably recognized the executive pastry chef and championship contestant who visited Portsmouth Publick House Friday night.
Courtney Silva Rezendes of Fall River, Mass., a contestant on Food Network‘s Spring Baking Championship, Season 3, has partnered with Portsmouth Publick House to bring her sweet desserts to local residents.
Rezendes, the executive pastry chef and president of Just That Sweet bakery and dessert shop, announced the partnership recently on Facebook.
The local pastry chef fared well on the Spring Baking Championship, making it until the final five contestants. Rezendes was eliminated on the Momcentric episode, which aired on the Food Network on Sunday, April 2.
However, the elimination is not stopping the Fall River baker from following her dreams, making her next steps with the Portsmouth Publick House partnership.
Rezendes visited Portsmouth Publick House, located in Clock Tower Square at West Main Road and King Charles Drive, Friday evening for a “soft opening.”
A grand opening for the partnership is planned for a later date (stay tuned), but Portsmouth Publick House customers will be able to purchase the contestant’s desserts on a regular basis.
