Aquidneck Island youth win state free throw championship

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Four Aquidneck Island youth won first place at the Knights of Columbus’ state free throw championship held March 19 at Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick. 

Morgan Casey was the 11-year-old girls’ champion. Kendall Ferris was the 13-year-old girls’ champion.

For the boys, Jack Casey was champion for age 9, while Carson Conheeny was the 12-year-old champ. For both Kendall and Carson, this was their 2nd time as state champions.

Of all participants, Carson tied for most free throws made; 22 out of 25 attempts.

Congratulations to islanders Kendall, Morgan, Carson, and Jack!
