PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Meeting Street, located at 1000 Eddy St., Providence, recently added three new employees to its team, including a Portsmouth resident.
Joe Macedo of Portsmouth has been appointed the new director of human resources.
Meeting Street also named Bernadine Sadwin as director of development and Katie Wood as special events coordinator.
“We are thrilled to welcome Joe, Bernadine, and Katie to the Meeting Street team,” said John M. Kelly, president, Meeting Street. “Each individual has a diverse and notable background that will make them an immediate asset to Meeting Street and will play a pivotal role in our continued growth.”
Joe Macedo brings 15 years of experience in Human Resource Management across several different industries to Meeting Street, including higher education, healthcare, media, and financial services.
Prior to joining Meeting Street, Macedo was director of benefits, compensation and HRIS at Providence Community Health Centers, Providence Equity Partners, LIN Media, Lifespan, and Brown University.
He also served as the treasurer for Child’s Play Nursery School in Providence and the Portsmouth Nursery School in Portsmouth.
Macedo received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island, where he was actively involved with WRIU college radio. Joe also holds an M.B.A. and M.S. in information systems from Bryant University.
