NE Boatworks named RI’s largest clean marina

New England Boatworks will be honored as Rhode Island’s largest clean marina during a special ceremony on Friday, May 5, at the marina in Portsmouth.

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — New England Boatworks will be honored as Rhode Island’s largest clean marina during a special ceremony on Friday, May 5. 

The special event will take place Friday at 10 a.m. at New England Boatworks, 1 Lagoon Road, Building 11. 

Dennis Nixon of Rhode Island Sea Grant will emcee the presentation. 

Individuals participating in the presentation will include: Senator Sheldon Whitehouse; Tom Rich, New England Boatworks; Janet Coit, Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management; Grover Fugate, Coastal Resources Management Council; Charlie Enright, Volvo Ocean Race Skipper and Vestas 11th Hour Racing; Jeremy Pochman, 11th Hour Racing; and Dave McLaughlin of Clean Ocean Access.
