PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Despite the rain Saturday, a couple Portsmouth residents stopped by the future Mt. Hope Park for its public viewing.

In January 2015, the Aquidneck Land Trust (ALT) and the Town of Portsmouth partnered to purchase a unique waterfront property in Portsmouth, RI for the development of Mt. Hope Park, a new permanently conserved park land.

A second public workshop to learn more about Mt. Hope Park will be held Thursday, May 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Town Hall, 2200 East Main Road.

Featured below are photos from the public viewing Saturday with representatives from the Aquidneck Land Trust and Portsmouth Planning Department.
