PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — A large gathering of pet owners and their 4-legged companions visited Glen Park Sunday to celebrate the Potter League for Animals’ 28th annual Heart & Sole Walk for the Animals.

The annual event was blessed with beautiful, sunny weather at the idyllic Glen Park.

The annual Heart & Sole Walk for Animals featured raffles, a Flea-less Market with vendors and freebies, pet contests, refreshments, an obstacle agility course for dogs, cooling pools and water bowls, demonstrations, and more.

The State Police demonstrated with a K-9 search dog, while Potter League alumni paraded around the ring before the king and queen (dog) were announced.

Every dollar raised from the event will provide the animals at the Potter League with shelter, food, training and medical care while they wait for loving new families to call their own.
