PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Portsmouth police charged a local man Tuesday for allegedly distributing fentanyl and oxycodone pills into the community.
The Portsmouth Police Detective Division recently initiated an investigation into an individual who was distributing fentanyl and oxycodone pills and introducing the drugs into the Portsmouth area.
The suspect identified as Gregory Dame, 29, of 149 Bristol Ferry Road, Portsmouth, who was taken into custody based on the investigation. He was charged with manufacturing, possession, or delivery of a Schedule I-II drug.
A quantity of fentanyl and oxycodone pills were seized as a result of the investigation and arrest.
Dame was scheduled to be arraigned in Second District Court later on Tuesday on the drug delivery charge.
