PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Several Earth Day cleanups will be held in Portsmouth this weekend. Find out when, where, and how you can help out this Earth Day below.
Saturday, April 21
Cub Scouts Pack 50 Portsmouth will participate in an Earth Day Save The Bay Clean Up from 9 to 11 a.m. Contact a Scout leader for more information about the location and clean up.
Common Fence Point (CFP) will hold an Earth Day cleanup from 9 to 11 a.m. Supplies will be available at the weighing table across from the CFP Community Center at 993 Anthony Rd. Portsmouth, RI where full bags will be dropped off for weighing and will be picked up by the town on the following Monday.
Sunday, April 22 (Earth Day)
Clean Ocean Access will hold a beach cleanup at Pheasant Drive Beach, located off Bristol Ferry Road and Pheasant Drive, from noon to 2 p.m.
We are hosting a beach cleanup at Pheasant Drive Beach in Portsmouth on Sunday April 22, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Our events are family friendly and we welcome volunteers of all ages, with no registration required! Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, and dress according to the weather.
Everyone will be treated to hot coffee provided by Empire Tea & Coffee so don’t forget your reusable mug! Let us join together after cleanup our shoreline and improve ocean health.
