PORTSMOUTH, R.I. —The Portsmouth School District is seeking participation in an important survey about the district’s performance. Find out more here.
The following letter is from the superintendent of schools.
As you may already be aware, Portsmouth School District is working with District Management Group (DMGroup) to draft a strategic plan for the district. As part of this process we hope to develop a detailed understanding of the current state of performance of the district – areas of strength and those in need of improvement. This will help inform a set of goals and priorities as well as a theory of action for the district.
This in turn will define and strengthen the district’s initiatives and provide a clear path forward to maximize student performance. The strategic plan will be written in a way that it will guide and influence the district’s decisions over the next 5 years.
This stakeholder survey is an important part of that process. Please share your thoughts regarding the mission, vision and values of our school system. The results of this survey will be carefully considered, along with interviews and school-based data. The outcomes will guide collaborative discussion that will determine the direction of the Portsmouth School Department in the next five years.
We thank you in advance for your support and participation in this survey.
With our children in mind, Ana C. Riley
