Show some heart, sole at 2017 Walk for Animals


PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Potter League for Animals will hold its 28th annual Heart & Sole Walk for the Animals this June. 

The event will take place on Sunday, June 4, at Glen Park in Portsmouth. Doors open at 9 a.m. with the 2-mile walk kicking off at 11. 

Enjoy refreshments, music and demonstrations, pet contests, sponsor booths and exhibitors at the Flea-less Market.

First timer or pro, don’t miss the fur-tastic obstacle course or the cat photography contest, face-painting and kid’s activities, the doggie day spa, raffles, awards and more! Hundreds of dogs in one place make for limitless fun.

The walk is a family and dog-friendly event so feel free to bring your best friends along.

Walkers check-in, turn in donations and receive earned prizes! Obstacle and Agility Courses, Cat Photo Contest, Kid’s Activities, Healthy Pet Marketplace, Sponsor Showcase, Pet Contests, Music, Refreshments, Awards

11:00 a.m

New this year – a 2 Mile Walk kicks off at 11:00am with a parade of Potter League alum and the Crowning of the King and the Queen.

Every dollar raised will provide the animals at the Potter League with shelter, food, training and medical care while they wait for loving new families to call their own.
