PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The town of Portsmouth needs to make some important decisions on how its citizens dispose of solid waste and is asking the community for assistance by responding to a survey.

The survey asks residents how they dispose of solid waste and what methods they would like to see utilized in the future.

The survey can be found online directly at https://www.SurveyMonkey.com/r/SolidWaste2017 and at the town’s website, www.portsmouthri.com, and will be available in print on June 30 at Portsmouth Town Hall, the Senior Center, Portsmouth Free Public Library, and Clements’ Market.

In a message to residents, Town Administrator Richard Rainer stated, “Our goal is to make a decision regarding waste management that best balances cost and convenience for our residents…”

The town requests that surveys be completed by July 21.
