PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The town of Portsmouth will hold its annual rabies clinic next weekend at the Portsmouth Fire Department, 2300 East Main Road.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, March 24, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the rear entrance of the fire department headquarters.

Dogs must be on a leash. Cats must be carried in a covered container. Please remember to bring your pet’s current rabies certificate.

The fee is $10 and should be paid in cash. Per state law, all dogs, cats, and ferrets must be vaccinated against rabies.

Dog licenses will be available to purchase at the clinic for $8 cash or check with proof of valid rabies vaccination.
