A Michigan judge released an order after the 17-year-old Oxford High School shooter requested to take life in prison without the possibility of parole and to keep the witnesses from testifying in his upcoming hearing.
17-Year-Old Oxford High School Shooter’s Request Before His Sentence
Ethan Crumbley, a 17-year-old Oxford High School shooter, requested to put off the table the possibility of life in prison without the possibility of parole. He also requested the court to keep the witnesses from testifying in his upcoming hearing.
In a published article in FOX News, the 2021 Oxford High School attack led to the death of four students while injuring six more students and one teacher. Crumbley was 15 years old when he committed the crime.
Moreover, the 17-year-old shooter pleaded guilty to 24 charges and that includes one count of terrorism and four counts of first-degree murder. Likewise, a first-degree murder conviction in Michigan automatically brings a no-parole sentence.

Michigan Judge Released an Order
According to a published article in Associated Press, Oakland County Circuit Judge Kwame Rowe denied the requests of the 17-year-old shooter. Judge Rowe said, “The Court finds that the defendant’s argument is not persuasive and is without merit. He also added that he cannot and will not dismiss the prosecution’s motion.
Furthermore, Judge Rowe also mentioned in his two-page opinion that he cannot keep school eyewitnesses of the shooting attack testify from the upcoming hearing.
