A 49-year-old high school teacher in Kentucky enticed 9-year-old to send genitals photo
In a recently published article by Law&Crime, authorities take Kevin Daniel Lentz into custody on Tuesday and charged with ten counts of distribution of obscene matter to a minor, seven counts of use of a minor under age 16 in a sexual performance, and six counts of tampering with physical evidence, records.
Lentz was an English teacher in Kentucky, Henry Clay High School in Lexington, since 2005, but administrators placed him on leave as a teacher in Kentucky following his arrest earlier this week. In a statement given by Fayette Country Public Schools, they said that the safety and well-being of students is their top priority. The school also said that Lentz’s administrative leave as a teacher in Kentucky is dependent upon the outcome of the investigation.
The 49-year-old teacher in Kentucky Lentz told the victim to delete their unlawful sexual conversations, so his parents wouldn’t know about their ongoing relationship. The teacher in Kentucky Lentz allegedly exchanged messages with the victim since July. The former teacher in Kentucky reportedly sent at least 10 pornographic images to the boy.

Herald-Leader reported that the former teacher in Kentucky Lentz appeared before Fayette District Court Judge Lindsay Thurston, who ordered him to be detained in lieu of $50,000 bond. Jail records show that the former teacher in Kentucky Lentz was still imprison at the Fayette Detention Center on Thursday afternoon. Judge Thurston prohibited the former teacher in Kentucky Lentz from having contact with minors if he post bond and be released.
The former teacher in Kentucky Lentz made his first appearance on Wednesday in Fayette County District Court. He pleaded not guilty to all charges. The former teacher in Kentucky appeared via video conference before Judge Melissa Murphy.
In addition, Pastor Dana Lockhart reportedly told the newspaper about the former teacher in Kentucky Lentz volunteered in the youth program at Faith Lutheran Church in Lexington and he had been removed from his role with the program following his arrest due to the church’s child protection policies.
