A statement released stated that majority of the tumor was removed during the surgery.
The former U.S. Open winner, Gary Woodland, had surgery on Monday to remove a lesion from his brain.
Last month, the former U.S. Open Winner announced that he was diagnosed with the lesion earlier this year and the former U.S. Open Winner initially tried to treat symptoms with medication before he and his family have decided to try and remove the lesion via surgery.
The former U.S. Open Winner is a four time winner on the PGA tour, including the 2019 US Open at the Pebble Beach Golf Links in California.

The former U.S. Open Winner has not announce when he intends to return to playing.
The post on the accounts of the former U.S. Open Winner said that after a long surgery, the player is resting and the tumor has been removed. The family of the former U.S. Open Winner requested space and privacy. The post also stated their thanks for the prayers and thoughts for Woodland.
