U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin urged partners to support Ukraine as winter season is coming
In preparation for Russian winter aggression, Austin urged partners to support Ukraine
In a recent article published by Interfax.com, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin urged partners to do everything possible to prepare Ukraine to repel further Russian aggression in the light of the approaching winter.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin urged partners at a press conference on Tuesday, to provide US military assistance to Ukraine. He added that at today’s meeting he called on allies and partners to dig deeper and donate US military assistance to Ukraine like defense ammunition as winter war is coming.
Austin recalled that last winter Russia destroyed Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, trying in vain to use the cold and darkness to break the will of the Ukrainian people, the very reason why he asked for US military assistance to Ukraine as well as its partners. According to him, air defense will continue to be Ukraine’s greatest need to protect the sky, civilians, and its cities. And providing US military assistance to Ukraine, these things may be avoided.

The meeting Contact Group of the Defense of Ukraine, where Austin called for US military assistance to Ukraine in the incoming winter war and support from other partners, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustam Umerov took part in it for the first time.
In addition, Austin called not only for US military assistance to Ukraine but also his fellow ministers to once again examine their stocks of 155-millimeter ammunition and key air defense and interceptor systems to ensure that they all give everything possible US military assistance to Ukraine for the coming winter.
He said that the long-term US military assistance to Ukraine will continue to develop through coalitions like the ones they started. US military assistance to Ukraine like armored vehicles training, F16 training and information technology. Austin said that these important coalitions would help continue to create reliable combat forces with the help of US military assistance to Ukraine for the future.
