Accused George Floyd’s Killer Will Be Sentenced this Monday
The death of George Floyd sparked international outrage and rallies. Different racial and justice groups gathered and asked for justice for the fatal death of George Floyd. The last accused George Floyd’s killer will be facing a sentence this Monday of he will face additional time in prison.
In a published article in ABC News, Tou Thao, the last accused George Floyd’s killer, testified during the trial that he merely served as a human traffic cone when the incident happened. It can be remembered that former Derek Chauvin knelt on Floyd’s neck for 9 and a half minutes while George Floyd pleaded for his life.

Accused George Floyd’s Killer Was Found Guilty
According to a published article in Associated Press, Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill found Tou Thao guilty in May of aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter. Cahill wrote in his 177-page ruling, “There is proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Thao’s actions were objectively unreasonable from the perspective of a reasonable police officer, when viewed under the totality of the circumstances.”
Meanwhile, the accused George Floyd’s killer rejected to plea bargain on the state charge and said that it would be lying if he pleaded guilty. Instead, he said that he would let Cahill decide the case based on the evidence from Chauvin’s 2021 murder trial.
