Golfer Patrick Cantlay finished with a flourish to complete a fightback for his side.

According to Golf Week, Golfer Patrick Cantlay breathed a much needed life in the Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club by holding a hat trick of putts on the final three holes to flip fourballs match and give the US a glimmer of hope that they could mount a comeback in the Sunday singles and retain the Cup.

While golfer Patrick Cantlay was busy taking on Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton in the morning, Sky Sport’s Jamie Weir posted on Social Media that golfer Patrick Cantlay was behind a rift in the US locker room and Weir believes that players should be paid to participate in the Ryder Cup and Golfer Patrick Cantlay is demonstrating his frustrations at not being paid by refusing to wear a team cap. Weir credited an anonymous source.

Word spread quickly in the grandstands, and fans began tormenting golfer Patrick Cantlay, who was paired with Wyndham Clark. Fans shouted ‘Show me the money’ to Cantlay. By the 16th, they were waving their hats at the hatless wonder.

Golfer Patrick Cantlay’s caddie, veteran Joe LaCava, had heard enough during the day. He waved his hat around in celebration on the 18th green. This bothered McIlroy, and tensions have flares. Things escalated quickly with McIlroy needing to be restrained.

The Ryder Cup finally got interesting all because Cantlay played without a hat.
