An event that happened in Aiken on July 30, a Lexington man has been charged with attempted murder.
According to YahooNews, Kenneth Lamont Richardson Jr., 30, of Lexington was taken into custody on August 16 and he is the man being charged with attempted murder.
according to a media release from the Aiken Department of Public Safety concerning the man charged with attempted murder. On July 30, police responded at 5:57 a.m. to Kershaw Street in reference to a shooting and spoke with a male victim.
According to the report, the victim claimed he was shot in the lower extremity while seated. One of the males demanded everything he had, including money, before driving off, according to the report.
After being shot, the victim informed police he raced to the witness and knocked on the front door’s glass, according to the report. The victim said he had been pistol-whipped and the police noticed a bruise on the right side of his skull.

In addition from the report, police saw a gunshot wound to the victim’s upper thigh and gave first aid until EMS came.
According from AIKENSTANDARD, a witness from the scene told the authorities that he disappear but was unable to identify any suspects.
According to the report, police also found an unfired.223 round close to the victim’s 2016 Lexus, which was parked next to the road.
