A former youth volleyball coach was arrested for attempting to solicit sex to a child under 14 years old in Illinois on Wednesday.
Former Youth Volleyball Coach was Arrested
Police authorities confirmed that a former youth volleyball coach in Illinois was arrested for attempting to meet a child under the age of 14 years old and solicit sex. The suspect was identified as Philip S. Bromley, 44 years old, of McHenry, County Illinois.
In a published article in FOX News, the former youth volleyball coach solicit sex through an online dating app. However, the suspect did not know that he was already conversing with an undercover police detective who was posing as a child under the age of 14.
Moreover, Bromley enticed the child to meet him and have a sexual relationship. He invited the child to meet him on July 19 in in Lake County where he was arrested. When he arrived at the place, he was met by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Group.

Suspect Will Face Felony Charges
According to a published article in Chicago Tribune, Sheriff John D. Idleburg said, “Our Special Investigations Group apprehended another man who used social media to prey on our most vulnerable. We continue to stress the importance to parents and guardians – be vigilant and monitor who your children are talking to on social media. Predators commonly use these applications to entice children.”
Furthermore, the former youth volleyball coach in Illinois was charged with indecent solicitation of a minor and traveling to meet a minor and grooming. All of these charges are felonies and was was booked into the Lake County Jail.
