A 14-year-old boy in New Mexico was charged and arrested after he fatally shot and killed a 13-year-old girl.
14-Year-Old Boy Shot and Killed Another Teen
Police authorities in New Mexico confirmed that a 14-year-old boy fatally shot and killed a 13-year-old girl. Authorities did not reveal the names of the suspect and the victim because of their age. An ongoing investigation is being conducted to solve the shooting incident.
In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, four teens were hanging out at William Brown’s home on Cabresto Road while listening to music when the 14-year-old boy arrived and shot one of them. It was found during the investigation that the boy dragged the body of the teenage girl and returned to the residence.
14-Year-Old Boy and His Father Was Charged and Arrested
According to a published article in CBS News, the 14-year-old boy returned home after committing the crime. The suspect and his father did not go outside their residence for approximately 30 minutes when the police authorities arrived at their residence.
Furthermore, the 14-year-old boy was charged and arrested. He will face the following charges:
- first-degree open count of murder
- two counts of tampering with evidence
- two counts of assault on a police officer
He is now placed under the custody of the San Juan Juvenile Detention Center. Meanwhile, his father was also charged and arrested for negligence in connection to making the firearm accessible to a minor leading to the death of a minor.
