5-Month-Old Infant Dies Due to Starvation, North Carolina Mom is Charged With Murder

A North Carolina mother was charged with murder after her 5-month-old infant died due to starvation while the other twin was almost dying.

5-Month-Old Died Due to Starvation

Police authorities in Greensboro, North Carolina confirmed that the 5-month-old infant died due to starvation. They first received a call from Tamiya Tomlin, 24 years old and the mother of the child, on December 25, 2022 and told them that her son, Amir Wright, was not breathing.

In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, the prosecutors said that the twin took a nap and she also did the same. Additionally, the Guilford County District Attorney’s Office said that Tomlin woke up and found one of the twins not breathing. She immediately called 911 to ask for help.

North Carolina Mother Was Charged With Murder

According to a published article in WAVY, medics immediately transported the twins to the nearest hospital. However, Amir Wright was pronounced dead and medical records revealed that the child died due to malnourishment and starvation.

Furthermore, the North Carolina mother was charged and arrested because the manner of the cause of death of the child was murder. It was also found that Amir’s twin looked like skin and bones. Likewise, the prosecutors also added that the joints of the boy were visible.
