Police authorities are investigating an alleged murder-suicide incident after a Florida man shot and killed his partner and killed himself.
Murder-Suicide Incident
Police authorities continue their investigation into the alleged murder-suicide incident in Polk County, Florida. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said that they responded to a home on Central Avenue West in the Inwood area of Winter Haven on July 21 before 10 p.m.
In a published article in TRUE CRIME DAILY, Riley Groover, 26 years old, fatally shot for several times his partner who was 8 months pregnant. Following this, he turned the gun on himself in front of several people which led to his death.
Sheriff’s Office Released a Statement
According to a published article in FOX35Orlando, the Sheriff’s office said that the investigators determined the crime as a murder-suicide. It was also found that the two had disputes that even became physical. However, none of these were reported to the authorities.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said, “This was a violent and horrific double murder that ended the lives of a 21-year-old woman who was eight months pregnant, and her unborn baby. When the suspect became enraged, family members and neighbors did everything they could to help her get away from him. Please keep this family in your prayers.”
