A 62-year-old burglary suspect, who barricaded a house, was shot in both legs by armed homeowners in Missouri.
Burglary Suspect Was Shot in Both Legs
A 62-year-old burglary suspect identified as James Garrett was shot in both legs by armed homeowners in Missouri. It was found that Garrett was also armed at that time and fired on the two homeowners. They returned fire and shot the suspect.
In a published article in FOX News, the homeowners immediately disarmed the 62-year-old man while waiting for the police authorities to arrive. The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on July 19 at a home on Buffalo Creek Road near Tiff City.

Burglary Suspect Was Charged and Arrested
According to a published article in OZARKS FIRST, the 62-year-old man was charged with the following:
- First-degree burglary
- First-degree assault
- Armed criminal action
- Possession of a controlled substance
Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s office said, “The homeowners, who were both armed with handguns, returned fire, striking the burglar with a gunshot in each thigh.”
The homeowners also confirmed to the police authorities that they found the 62-year-old man barricading their house when they arrived. They also admitted that they returned fire on the burglary suspect because he was armed and shot them first.
