According to SI article, as of now, no arrest warrant has been issued for Kansas basketball player Arterio Morris, and formal charges have not been filed. The case remains open, as confirmed by the Douglas County District Attorney’s office. Morris’s history includes transferring to Kansas after his freshman season at Texas, where he encountered off-the-court issues.

In June of the previous year, he faced an arrest following an alleged altercation with his ex-girlfriend, resulting in a Class A misdemeanor assault charge. Ultimately, Morris pleaded no contest and paid a $362 fine. Despite this legal matter, Morris managed to participate in all 38 games for the Longhorns, serving as a reserve and averaging 4.6 points per game last season.

Both Kansas coach Bill Self and Morris’s agent, Chris Gaston, have refrained from commenting on the situation when approached by The Kansas City Star.
