$14,800 in Home Energy Rebate Program

President Joe Biden signed in August 2022 The Inflation Reduction Act. Part of the new law is the home energy rebate program that will send a total amount of $14,800 and states must apply for this federally funded program for the residents to claim the said amount.

In a published article in MSN News, American consumers can get the home energy rebate program through the Home Efficiency Rebates program and the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates program. These are two different programs that millions of Americans can enjoy.

$8.8 Billion is Allotted in the Home Energy Rebate Program

According to a published article in CNBC, a total amount of $8.8 billion is allotted for the home energy rebate program. This is so far the biggest amount intended to fight climate change in U.S. history. Consumers can get $14,000 under Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates program and $8,000 under the Home Efficiency Rebates program.

Kara Saul Rinaldi, CEO and founder of AnnDyl Policy Group, said, “It’s a first-of-its-kind program. We’ve never had federal rebates like them before,” Furthermore, states need to apply for this home energy rebate program.
