Many people are unaware that there are other places in the state that represent a different kind of danger or have most dangerous areas. When one thinks about New Mexico, they often think of the potential to see UFOs in Roswell and sweltering temperatures.

The causes can range from concerns about undocumented immigration to the demand for better employment options with market-competitive pay to people simply being humans. Whatever the justification, the data paints a distinct picture toward the most dangerous areas in New Mexico.
In 1598, the Spanish began colonizing the valley, driving out several native tribes in the process. Currently, the state is bordered to the north and east by Texas, Colorado, and Utah, and to the south and west by Arizona and Mexico.

2. Belen

3. Deming
West of Las Cruces, close to the border with Mexico, Deming served as a railroad and transportation hub for the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific lines in 1881.
Unfortunately, although having a small population of only 14,000 people, criminal activity rivals that of its namesake. Deming, which has consistently ranked among the top five most dangerous areas in New Mexico, is one of those places.
Data on violent crime shows 963 per 100,000 people, and 1 in 108 incidents will probably affect locals that it is included in most dangerous areas in New Mexico.
4. Los Lunas
Los Lunas, which is 15 miles south of the capital city and is a part of the Albuquerque Metroplex, is a fast expanding municipality split in two by Interstate 25. It has a population of roughly 16,000 and was named after the original Luna family.
One of the richest communities in the state, it is thought to be. Rising crime rates in the city are regarded to be a result of rapid growth. There have been 4,074 reported property crimes and 1,286 reported violent crimes per 100,000 people. Thus it is also included in most dangerous areas in New Mexico.
5. Roswell
Roswell is a well-known tourist destination located east of Alamogordo, the missile facility, and the Lincoln National Forest; college students from Eastern New Mexico University, yes; alien invasion, no.
The unfortunate truth is that this quaint, if not slightly space-obsessed community is among the most deadly in the state. Many of the 47,500 people have dealt with some kind of petty theft, with a probability of 1 in 27. Therefore, it is one of the most dangerous areas in New Mexico.
