According to AZ Animals, one of the most dangerous places in Louisiana is the city of Alexandria. Alexandria has a reputation of bad crime issues. The property crime rate in Alexandria is nearly three times more than the rest of the state.

The second on the list of the most dangerous places in Louisiana is in Monroe. The issue with Monroe is that it is the absolute hottest place in all of Louisiana. However, the extreme heat isn’t the only problem with this town, as Monroe has the highest rate when it comes to violent crime. With a 1 in 147 chance of becoming victims. 

The third in the list of the most dangerous places in Louisiana is in Opelousas. Opelousas has a negative reputation due to regular crimes. Unfortunately, this has been going on for decades. Opelousas was once a primary hub for prostitution and gambling. The next in the list of the most dangerous places in Louisiana, is Lake Martin. Lake Martin is near the Cyprus Island Nature Preserve, where many alligators live. Lake Martin is one of the most alligator infested lakes in Louisiana.

Louisiana may think that the danger is only lurking in the defensive line on New Orleans Saints running out of gas while alligator hunting but that is not the case.

According to Road Snacks, one of the most dangerous places in Louisiana is Marksville. Marksville ranked as the fifth most violent place in the state, with residents having a 1 in 55 chance of being violently attacked over 2020. 

Road Snacks also listed Natchitoches as one of the most dangerous places in Louisiana, and although it is one of Louisiana’s oldest cities, it’s also one of the poorest places in the state. Natchitoches also had the fourth highest burglary rate in the state. The last one in the list of the most dangerous places in Louisiana is New Orleans. Everyone knows about the world-famous Mardi Gras celebrations but what not everyone knows is that there are a number of crimes in this city. New Orleans have recorded the second highest rape and fifth highest murder rate in the state.
