The once-popular At Home retail store is set to shut down a once-popular location. On November 1, The At Home retail store located in Waterloo, Iowa will shut down a massive store location.

According to The US Sun, the At Home retail store, located in the Crossroads Mall, posted signs outside of the store that read “closing this location only.” The windows of At Home retail store has signs plastered all over that detailed the liquidation sales which is in effect up until closing day.

At Home retail store’s sales started at 30% off and have jumped to 50% off on all outdoor items. Also, shoppers can score outdoor furniture starting at $34.99. At Home retail store first opened in the Waterloo community back in 2016 and boasted 112,000 square feet and has been described as the “home decor superstore.”

Noel Anderson, the Waterloo community planning and development director hopes that the city can revive the At Home retail store through renovations, partial demolition, and rebuilding.

At Home retail store operates over 260 national locations across the East Coast.

According to The Courier, Noel Anderson stated that the city has layered the area with incentive potential to help a private partner for redevelopment, as well as the city continues to make improvement to the area that is surrounding the mall like roadway improvements. 

The At Home retail store is not the first store of the Crossroads Mall to close. The mall, though, still has a few stores that are open, as well as restaurants.
