Atlanta Carjacking Suspect Sought After Posing as Ride Requester

Atlanta Police Launch Manhunt for Atlanta Carjacking Suspect
According to Atlanta News, Atlanta is on edge as the hunt intensifies for the person they’re dubbing the “Atlanta carjacking suspect.” This individual is accused of carjacking late at night in southeast Atlanta, right around 3819 Jonesboro Road, at approximately 1:40 a.m. The unsettling part is that it all began when this suspect asked some folks for a ride from a gas station to somewhere else. But things quickly took a dark turn when they ended up stealing their car.
However, moments later, while one of the victims was inside the gas station, the Atlanta carjacking suspect forcibly removed the second victim from the vehicle and fled in the stolen Jeep Cherokee. Authorities are actively seeking information about the Atlanta carjacking suspect and have offered a reward of up to $2,000 for anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers Atlanta. Individuals providing tips do not need to disclose their names or identifying information to be eligible for the reward.

The Atlanta Police Department is actively seeking information about the Atlanta carjacking suspect, who posed as someone in need of a ride before stealing a Jeep Cherokee. Residents who may have seen the Atlanta carjacking suspect are encouraged to submit anonymous tips to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), through the online platform, or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
The police emphasize that individuals providing tips can remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to $2,000. This call for public assistance underscores the community’s role in helping to apprehend the Atlanta carjacking suspect and maintain safety in the area.
