Joey Bosa of Los Angeles Chargers Says His Only Goal is to Win

The Los Angeles Chargers are on the rise. Yet, while they may seem to have the pieces to win, they have yet to see real success. As the team head to the 2023 season, their focus is on winning and only winning.

Star defensive end of the Los Angeles Chargers, Joey Bosa, discussed his urgency to win this year, saying the importance is on helping his team win, rather than to boost his own stats.

According to CBS Sports, Joey Bosa said that he wants to play great every year, to want to help his team, and more than ever, to win some games. He also said that doing his job is more important than ever. Saying he thinks that being a team player is the most that he can be while still going out and being himself in the games.

Joey Bosa clarified his comment, explaining that he always wanted to win, but as he gets older, he knows that the time he is left in the league is slowly diminishing. Joey Bosa said that as he gets older, the opportunities get smaller and smaller. Stating that a rookie will have their entire career ahead of them.

Joey Bosa also said that his perspective changed as he got older, with more emphasis on the team’s success rather than his owns. He stated that his personal goals and personal accolades just don’t quite mean as much as he got older. He said that winning Defensive Player of the Year would be an honor but going out there with his team members that he has built connection with is a much more lasting accomplishment.
