Severe storms were felt on Saturday. Impacting Northeast, Ohio Valley with thunderstorms and tornadoes.

According to Fox News, severe storms’ threat of hail, strong winds, and tornadoes Saturday affected several areas of the country, including the Northeast.

More than 100 million people from New England to the Plains, according to the FOX Forecast Center, were at increased danger of severe storms. On the SPC’s thunderstorm danger scale, the major cities in the Level 3 out of 5 risk zone included Pittsburgh, Scranton, and Youngstown in Pennsylvania and Ohio, respectively. 

The Buckeye State saw many severe storms disturbances like thunderstorm and tornado warnings on Saturday as the initial round of showers and thunderstorms began to develop. Police stated that a tornado was seen traveling through towns in the Central Ohio counties of Hardin and Marion. The Storm Prediction Center’s initial findings suggest that the tornado was one of two that affected towns north of Interstate 70. In the central United States on Sunday, a disturbance will bring about severe storms. On Monday, the Ohio Valley will become the new location of that threat.

Damage reports about the severe storms were tree and roof damages in Kenton, as well as about 13,000 power outages.

According to WKYC, the severe storms made it through Northeast Ohio giving tornado, thunderstorm, and flash flood warnings throughout Saturday afternoon. 

The Lyndhurst Police Department is telling people to avoid driving in the intersection of Cedar Road and Brainard Road in the Beachwood area as traffic lights are disabled for the next 24 hours due to the damages done by the severe storms. On Saturday, Cedar Point lost electricity as a result of severe storms in the Sandusky region.
