  1. MONOPOLIS. This community with over 100 years of history is the first in this list of worst neighborhoods in Austin. Total crime here is 152% higher than the national average, violent crime is 275% higher than the national average, property crime at 267% higher than national average.

 

  1. MARTIN LUTHER KING HIGHWAY 183. The second in this list of worst neighborhoods in Austin. This is located in the eastern section of Austin and struggles with weak economy and a high cost of living. Total crime here is 252% higher than the national average, violent crime is at 175% higher than the national average, and property crime is at 267% higher than the national average.

 

  1. EAST CONGRESS. East Congress is the third in this list of worst neighborhoods in Austin due to modest safety issues and the lack of amenities. Total crime here is 415% higher than the national average; violent crime is at 186% higher than the national average. And property crime at 461% higher than the national average.

The total crime here is 452% higher than the national average; violent crime ate 357% higher than the national average; and property crime 470% higher than the national average.

 

  1. NORTH BURNET. North Burnet is the 5th in this list of worst neighborhoods in Austin. Despite positive aspects, traffic congestion, and limited public transportation is the reason why this is part of the list. Total crime here is at 508% higher than the national average; violent crime at 149% higher than the national average; and property crime ate 580% higher than the national average.

 

  1. PARKER LANE. The last in this list of worst neighborhoods in Austin. This neighborhood struggles with weak job market and a high cost of living. Total crime rate is 271% higher than the national average; violent crime at 178% higher than the national average; property crime ate 289% higher than the national average.
