Check to see if you qualify for Americans get free money after being paid incorrectly for healthcare under a $80 million settlement.

According to the US SUN, that’s because, in accordance with Top Class Actions, employees of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) were improperly charged for healthcare premiums. It was purportedly withdrawn from pension checks on a monthly basis.

The Retiree Health Care Trust was named as the defendant in the lawsuit, according to an email from the CTA, which runs the trains and buses, to The U.S. Sun.

In accordance with a settlement, the independent body has agreed to compensate the negatively impacted CTA retirees $80 million. Although the payments’ range is unknown, you might be qualified for some cash.

If you are currently a retired CTA employee who was hired prior to September 6, 2001, this may be you.

The settlement included those who retired prior to January 1, 2007, and who were qualified for health benefits as of July 1, 2009, as class members. Class members were given a letter notifying them of their eligibility at their last known address, but no action is necessary to claim the money.

A cheque will be mailed to those who qualify.

However, there are numerous communities outside of Chicago for which Americans may qualify. Customers who bought TGI Friday’s items in grocery shops, for instance, might be eligible for payment from a $900,000 pot.

Between January 1, 2017, and July 31, 2022, if you bought frozen mozzarella sticks from the brand, you may be qualified to earn a portion of the settlement.

You have until Monday, September 25 to submit a claim form online in order to indicate your eligibility.

After the company was charged with deceiving customers about delivery and service charges, Panda Express’ parent company agreed to a $1.4 million settlement. Between July 17, 2020, and February 16, 2022, an order must have been placed via the Panda Express website or mobile app to qualify.
