According to Yahoo News, the U.S. government took diplomatic steps to inform the international community of this Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) launch. Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder announced during a press conference held on the preceding Tuesday that the United States had adhered to its obligations by transmitting a prelaunch notification to the Hague Code of Conduct.
