However, if crime rates are of concern, then there are places in the state that are best to be avoided. Here is a list of some of the most dangerous cities in Arizona.

 

  1. TOLLESON. The 1st in the list of the most dangerous cities in Arizona is Tolleson. The crime rate here is 13,374 per 100,000. The overall crime rate is a whopping 470% higher than the national average. Residents here have a 1 in 8 chance of becoming a victim of any crime.

 

  1. GLOBE. Globe is the 2nd in this list of most dangerous cities in Arizona. The crime rate here is 8,311 per 100,000, 254% higher than the national average. Globe’s economy was based on mining, and has since been lost, unemployment and poverty have been the driving force for the city’s crime.

 

  1. HOLBROOK. The third in this list of most dangerous cities in Arizona. The crime rate here is 7,120 per 100,000, which is 204% higher than national average. Residents here have a 1 in 15 chance of being a victim of any crime.

  1. PAGE. Page is the 5th in this list of most dangerous cities in Arizona. The crime rate here is 106% higher than the national average. Most of the crimes occur in the residential parts of the city.

 

  1. TEMPE. The 6th in this list of most dangerous cities in Arizona. Tempe struggles with their violent crimes from gang activities. Crime rate here is 73% higher than the national average. Murders, robberies, theft, and burglaries are very common in this city.

 

  1. TUCSON. The last in this list of most dangerous cities in Arizona is Tucson. This city is one of the worst areas in the state due to high crime rates, which is 69% higher than the national average. Crime may have declined in this city, however, they are still dealing with the problem of violent crimes.
