According to Property Club, Miami is not dangerous, especially when you stay in the downtown or tourists areas. After all, Miami us a popular vacation and tourist destination.   1. MODEL CITY. The 1st in this list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami. This is generally considered as the worst area in Miami in terms of violent crime. Many of the violent crimes here are connected to drug trade. Gun violence, burglary, robbery, and drive by shootings are also prevalent here. Murders have steadily increased each year. It is not advisable to walk or bike in this area.

 

  1. OVERTOWN. The second in this list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami. Active police presence may be seen in this area, but that does not stop the problem of crime in the residential part of the neighborhood. Crimes reported here are drug trafficking, assaults, and shootings. Due to predatory crimes, it is advised to not go in this part of Miami.

 

  1. DOWNTOWN. Downtown Miami is one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami. The violent crime rate here is 186% higher than the national average. Gang activity is a problem here and walking alone outside of tourists areas can be dangerous. Even on public transport, it is advised to watch out for thieves and pickpockets.

Miami does not rank among the most dangerous cities in the US; however people should still exercise caution, especially the places listed in today’s most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami.

 

  1. ALLAPATTAH. The fourth in this list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami is Allapattah. Even though there is police presence here, crime rates are still 125% higher than the national average. Allapattah’s crime is not excessive, however, there are still shooting here. It is relatively safe to walk or ride your bike here but should stay away from east of 9th ave and north of 20th st. as they are known for criminal activities.

 

  1. LITTLE HAITI. The fifth in this list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami is Little Haiti. The presence of crime here is unfortunate part of the community with shootings, assaults, and other violent crimes. Violent crime rate here is 200% higher than the national average. If you plan to visit here, maybe do it during day time as nightime can be pretty dangerous.
  2. LITTLE HAVANA. The last place in this list of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami is Little Havana. Violence stemming from gang activities still pose a problem for this neighborhood. While crime has decreased in years, violent and property crime has still remained. Areas around this neighborhood that are safe includes: west of 22 ave and south of 8 st, the central part, which is a tourist attraction.
